Tivat’s prized waterfront community will celebrate the crowning heights of culture this summer when some of the most distinguished members of the Berlin Philharmonic stage a concert at Porto Montenegro. What promises to be a glamorous and beautiful summer will be enhanced by a stunning series of entertainment, music, fashion, art and feel-good events that will thrill and inspire visitors – with the musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic as an outstanding emblem of eminence at its heart. Reuniting friends old and new this year, Porto Montenegro will truly embrace a life less ordinary.
The concert, titled Berlin Visiting, will be the pinnacle of this summer’s cultural agenda with a performance by the leading soloists of the Berlin Philharmonic on July 20th. The elite musicians of European classical music and German artistic brilliance, the orchestra’s prominent principal clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer and first concert-master, violinist Daishin Kashimoto, accompanied by guest pianist Jose Gallardo, will bring a dash of unique inventiveness to the ravishing sound synonymous with this great orchestra. Both musicians are long-standing members of the Berlin Philharmonic, founded in 1882 by 54 musicians, which is consistently ranked as the world’s best orchestra. With the unrivalled reputation of its world-class musicians, known worldwide for virtuoso musicality and interpretative genius, the orchestra is celebrated globally by critics, experts and audiences alike.
Under the auspices of the Kotor Art International Festival, the largest art festival in Montenegro and one of the most prominent in this European region, the concert will help to recognise the emergence of Tivat as an important regional cultural centre and will cement the status of the arts in their appeal to both local and international communities. For the second year running, along with the support of Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel and Porto Montenegro, the concert also enjoys the backing of two esteemed brands within the community, Henley & Partners and Sotheby’s Montenegro.
Kai Dieckmann, General Manager of Regent Porto Montenegro, commented: “We are delighted to play a part in bringing the acclaimed musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic to our guests and partners. The opportunity to experience such an important cultural event is a privilege we want to share with everybody at Porto Montenegro and we celebrate KotorArt for its critical role in bringing this truly unique occasion to life.
“Andreas Ottensamer and Daishin Kashimoto, exceptional musicians of The Berlin Philharmonic, together with the guest pianist, are distinguished among peers and patrons alike for their decades of artistic brilliance, dedicated commitment to excellence and distinctive style – all qualities which we strive to emulate every day at Regent Porto Montenegro.”
